I really wish I could say that I collected references for this one from a recent vacation in Australia, but of course that would be a lie 😉...I'm afraid this little bird was photographed at the Seattle zoo. After revisiting photos from a family outing I decided that this Australian fellow needed to be painted. I used a couple pigments that I hadn't used in a long time (I love the way birds break all the rules of natural color).
